The Synaps portal

As we preach best practices with respect to knowledge production, we had to invest in our own digitization. To support our internal processes and institutional memory, we:

  1. Developed a software application to safeguard and retrieve all research material

  2. Included a “knowledge base” making policies and manuals easy to navigate

    Formalized our writing process to keep track of documents as they evolved

    Systematized our accounting and expense management system within the portal

    Incorporated a “website builder” tool to design our content in-house

  3. Piloted other tools on the platform, such as skills tracking, machine learning, and controlled vocabularies
