Alex manages Synaps’ Syria portfolio, coordinating research on subjects ranging from Syria’s conflict economy to its dwindling water resources. He has lived and worked in Lebanon and Jordan as a researcher and analyst, including as a Fulbright Fellow and researcher with the International Crisis Group. A native of California, he holds a BA from Princeton University and an MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
